About Ngee Ann Academy

Our Beginning

The Ngee Ann – Adelaide Education Centre was a joint venture between The Ngee Ann Kongsi and The University Of Adelaide.

The Vision of the partners was to provide a “high quality” education in Singapore through various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as applied executive and professional development courses taught by experienced academics, consultants and professsionals.

Since its inception in 1998, the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre has produced some of Singapore’s leaders within its local businesses, multinational corporations and government agencies.

Closure of our chapter

The University of Adelaide announced its withdrawal from the joint venture. Over the span of 18 years, about 3,000 students have graduated with The University of Adelaide degrees from the campus in Tank Road.

Rebranded and Relaunched

The Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre was rebranded to Ngee Ann Academy, and retained its ‘NAA’ acronym. Staying true to the vision that NAA first started out with, we moved into our new teaching facility right in the heart of Orchard Road at Ngee Ann City with a new corporate identity and came under The Ngee Ann Kongsi as a fully-owned subsidiary.

NAA will continue to serve our stakeholders with the same commitment, quality and passion that we have over the past 20 years.

Inaugural Intake

NAA started its first class of BSc Nursing (with Honours) with a strong intake of 50 students (2018 Inaugural Intake).

Official Opening

Ngee Ann Academy was officially launched on the 2nd of August 2018 by the Minister for Education, Mr Ong Ye Kung. The event was attended by over 100 distinguished guests and well-wishers.

Four University Partners

Within a year, we have partnered up with 4 prestigious and world-class Universities – King’s College London (UK); SOAS University of London (UK); University of Nottingham (UK); and The University of Adelaide (Australia) – to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across multiple disciplines.

EduTrust Certification

We achieved the renewal of the 4-year EduTrust Certification, which was conferred by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). This award is a testament to our mission of delivering a high-quality education and training, and in turn help individuals to accelerate their knowledge and skills to realise their maximum potential.

INAUGURAL GRADUATION

From the 2018 to 2020 intakes, 72% graduated with either first-class honours or upper second-class honours from King’s College London.

EDUTRUST CERTIFICATION

We were pleased to receive the renewal of another 4-year Edutrust Certification conferred by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). We remain committed to delivering a high-quality education and training to help individuals optimise their knowledge and skills for maximising potential.

Ranked #1 in the World for Nursing

Our esteemed university partner, King’s College London  ranked #1 in the World for Nursing in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025.

Partnership with Newcastle University

We partnered with Newcastle University to offer the Master of Science in Energy Management (Renewable Enterprise) programme.
