On a bright, sunny day on 22 November, over 100 King’s nursing graduands made their way to the Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium, located within the Academia campus at the Singapore General Hospital to attend their Graduation Celebration.
It was a significant moment for all of them as the venue is a symbol of legacy and pride for all healthcare professionals. Established in 1821, the Singapore General Hospital is the largest and oldest hospital in Singapore, the second home to many nurses who have worked relentlessly to save lives and improve patient care and safety.
The nursing graduands felt exceptionally happy to be celebrating their graduation at this remarkable venue after two years of learning. These nurses received a high-quality education to advance their knowledge and skills and realise their maximum potential, culminating in their well-earned degrees.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours (Top-up) has been specially developed for the nursing fraternity in Singapore and is among one of the best nursing degrees in the country to offer elective modules in older persons care, palliative and end of life care, leadership and clinical governance and team-based healthcare practice and decision making. The degree programme is for Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registered nurses, providing them with the enhanced skills to deliver the best possible care, pioneer innovation and deliver improved outcomes for patients and their families.
This is a part-time degree that is delivered and awarded by the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College London, an internationally renowned university that is ranked 2nd in the world and 1st in the UK to study nursing by QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023.
