King’s College London is a prestigious university, and I am excited to be enrolled in a programme delivered by the faculty from Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. Pursuing a degree in nursing enables me to be engaged in more sophisticated care of my patients. The BSc in Nursing with Honour (Top-Up) programme has equipped me with the scientific knowledge, skills, and ethics needed to care for people when they are at their most vulnerable.
One thing I like the most about this programme is the rich experience that each lecturer/tutor brings to the subject. Learning directly from experts from overseas has been a great eye-opener to how the nursing profession abroad compares with our practices in Singapore. Being able to study part-time and work concurrently is beneficial for me as it gives me the opportunity to put into practice what I have learned. It also helps me develop critical thinking skills and practice active reflection in my clinical practice to provide safe care based on best or evidence-based practices. All in all, I am so much more confident that I can contribute better in providing positive nursing care and patient experiences.
