I have decided to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours (Top-up) programme at King’s College London because it is one of the most prestigious nursing programs globally. It offers elder care as an elective module, which enhancing the vital skills of communicating and dealing with elderly patients in polyclinic. I have learnt to apply clinical assessment skills and critical thinking to identify red flag and worsening signs when assessing my patient. It was taught in one of the in course module enabling me to manage my patients more efficiently and contribute to better patient outcomes. Studying at King’s College London significantly enhanced my management and teamwork skills, while exposing me to new career options such as palliative nursing, which I had never experienced before.
