King’s College London is one of the world’s leading universities in healthcare education, and its nursing program is well-recognized globally. I wanted to expand my knowledge, strengthen my clinical and leadership abilities, and earn a globally recognized qualification. The collaboration with Ngee Ann Academy (NAA) also gave an excellent option to learn while continuing to work, making it an ideal fit for my professional development.
One of the key things that I have learned is evidence-based practice, which has allowed me to make better clinical decisions. I’ve also improved my critical thinking skills, helping me to analyse patient conditions and provide effective holistic care. The experience has been quite enriching. I appreciated learning from knowledgeable instructors and interacting with other nurses from all backgrounds. Also, the online learning platform, Keats, allows us to access learning materials every day conveniently. They are also quizzes, discussion forums and online assessment helping students actively engage with the content. My favourite is the resource hub which provides links to King’s college library, e-books, research papers and other academic resources, supporting evidence-based learning.
One interesting thing I realised during this journey is how nursing is constantly evolving. The more I learned, the more I appreciated the value of lifelong learning in healthcare. This experience has also strengthened my passion for patient care and inspired me to explore areas like nursing research or education in the future.
